Frameline 28, the San Francisco International Lesbian and Gay Film
Festival, comes to town June 1727. The Film Society copresents
You I Love (Ja Lublju Tebja), from Russian directors Olga
Stolpovskaya and Dmitry Troitsky. Vera and Timofey are young professionals
in love who live fast-paced lives in contemporary Moscow. Things
change when Timofey accidentally drives his car into a young worker,
and the two men are immediately drawn to each other. This zany,
character-driven melodrama has been compared to the work of Pedro
Almodóvar.
Screenings are at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, June 22 at the
Parkway; and 12:00 noon, Sunday, June 27 at the Castro. For more
information about the Frameline or to purchase tickets, visit www.frameline.org/festival.
