48th San Francisco International Film Festival Announces Partnership with Eye Candy To Present Outdoor Video Screen Display in Union Square; 220 Square-Foot Screen Will Show Film Trailers and Special Festival Coverage

The 48th San Francisco International Film Festival (April 21— May 5) in partnership with Eye Candy, a global outdoor broadcaster for the film festival industry, will display a 220 square ft. outdoor video screen in Union Square April 18 — May 5. The video screen will air coverage of past and present Festival trailers and special highlights including filmmaker and celebrity interviews and exclusive content from this year's Festival.

The video screen display will air Festival coverage daily from 8:00 am — midnight in Union Square, offering film lovers a chance to learn more about the Festival and enjoy special highlights in one of the cities' most heavily trafficked areas. Festival coverage will be supported by national and local advertising.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to offer Festival coverage on a large outdoor screen," said Roxanne Messina Captor, executive director of the Film Society. "The large screen will be located in the heart of Union Square, with Festival coverage on display to add to the vitality of downtown."

"We are thrilled to bring the Eye Candy outdoor screen experience for the first time to the San Francisco International Film Festival," said Romel Ahmed, Eye Candy's Director of Business Development. "We have offered this feature to other film festivals around the world, and it seemed like a natural fit to offer this service to the oldest film festival in the country in one of the most beautiful cities in the world."
