The San Francisco Film Society needs freelance Web development support for our sites, including sffs.org, history.sffs.org and fest07.sffs.org:
- Posting, maintaining and modifying content
- Diagnosing problems
- Assisting with QA
- Building RSS and MRSS feeds
- Adding material to media players and databases
- Updating pages in Miva Merchant
- Tracking stats
- Creating forms
The freelance developer should be a resource for finding and managing other freelancers for more specialized work when needed. The work can be done remotely, but occasional in-person meetings are required.
Ideally, the freelance Web developer will have:
- An excellent understanding of Web publishing standards
- Knowledge of basic usability and user experience concepts
- The ability to respond to support requests via email and phone in a timely manner
- Experience with HTML, CSS, ASP, PHP, RSS, XML and JavaScript
- Basic SQL (MySQL) skills and experience with database-driven Web sites
- Very good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
To discuss, contact Creative Director Miguel Pendás at sffspubjobs@yahoo.com with your resume in text, PDF or Microsoft Word format, a link to your online portfolio (or direct links to live sites you have worked on), and include “Freelance Web Developer” in the subject line.
